The weather on Saturday had a big influence on the size of the field. A small field played a par event and while there was a chilly southerly breeze, golfing conditions were quite good.
I am sure Alan will have a different handicap next week.
Alan Cairney had a great day, hitting the ball sweetly and putting like a pro. He won the day with the very good score of +6 and the runner-up was Bill Wilcox with a handy score of +2. Nearest the pin on the first was Alan Cairney and on the ninth was Laurie Murphy.
Golf on Monday was an 18-hole stableford event. Alan Cairney continued his good form from Saturday and was a comfortable winner with the good score of 38 points. I am sure Alan will have a different handicap next week.
Blake Miller was the runner-up. Alan Cairney was nearest the pin on the first.
Hamish Anderson showed his great ability by having an eagle on the sixth hole, one of the more difficult holes on the course.
Balls for ability went to John McKinnon, John Crichton and Bob Slattery.
Golf next Saturday will be a 4BBB stableford and individual event.
