The trip to Wade Park is never easy and within 10 minutes the Tigers were chasing down an early deficit of 12-0.
The CYMS forwards, led by Chris Bamford and Cam Jones, paved the path for their captain/coach Mike Sullivan to dominate the next 70 minutes.
Trent Rose tried to rally his troops, leading by example with some big hits, but CYMS were able to soak up whatever the Tigers threw at them and increase their lead to 18-0 with 15 minutes remaining in the first half.
Tyler Hughes provided a glimmer of a spark when he out-wrestled his opposition winger in an aerial battle to field an Anton Wereta cross-kick, putting the Tigers back in the hunt and trailing 18-6 after a Josh Rivett conversion.
Unfortunately for the Oberon faithful, though, CYMS were able to work downfield and pin the Tigers on their own goal line for repeat sets, resulting in another try just before half time.
The score at the break was 22-6 against the Tigers.

Oberon Senior Rugby League president Ian Christie Johnston remains optimistic about the outlook for the remainder of the season and would like to thank all sponsors including Borg Manufacturing/Polytech, Oberon Earthmoving, JHG, Silmac, Saul’s Grading Services and First National Bowyer and Livermore.
FIRST DIVISION
WITH both teams sitting equal second it was CYMS who emerged victor with a 31-12 scoreline.
Caylib Mastin never stopped trying and was rewarded with the only two tries scored by Oberon.
Things may have gone a little differently had Oberon not had two tries disallowed.
UNDER 18S
THE Under 18s were well down on troops and played most of the match with only 11 men going down 52-8.
In a show of sportsmanship the CYMS coach reduced his team to 11 also but had the benefit of a full bench rotation.
LEAGUE TAG
THE Ladies League Tag side was well beaten but, as usual, the girls never gave up on a day that the Oberon following will want to put behind them.
