Golf next Saturday will be an 18 hole three person Ambrose. This is a good opportunity to invite a prospective golfer or a friend who needs to be more regular and make up a team of three. Thank you to members doing odd jobs around the course, it makes a huge difference.
Women’s Golf: Fifteen ladies played in the first round of the Arrow Family Trophy competition last week in excellent golfing conditions. The fairways were in great shape, as were the greens but the rough was unforgiving! The stroke round, which included a putting competition, was also for the Monthly Medal and was the fourth round of the Golf NSW Medal.
The winner in Division 1 and winner of the Monthly Medal by a good margin was Robyn Stapleton with 69 nett. In second place was Robyn Slattery with 76 nett and in third place was Glennie McGrath with 79 nett. Robyn Stapleton also won the putting competition with 32 putts. In Division 2, the winner was Barbara Coleman with 77 nett on a countback from Bev Dale. In third place was Vonda Voytilla with 78 nett. Yvonne Collins won the putting competition.
Netball News: The netball Hotshots team ran away with a 40 to nil win against Scots Cubs on Saturday. Sophie, Makayla, Zia, Cady, Georgia, Neive and Janae all had good games with some great intercepts. Special mention to Kayla who played in defence. She put all her skills she has learnt at training into practice on the court.
