Come along for some gentle exercise and fun. The ladies play all year round on the indoor courts from 9am to 12 noon. For more information contact Flo Spence on 6336 1742.
Oberon has an impressive tennis complex. It is not only a great place to pull out your racquet and have a hit in both social and competitive games, but is also a base for other sports within the town. There is also tennis coaching available.
MEN'S BOWLS
LAST Saturday morning Oberon RSL Men's Bowling Club members played the semi final of the pairs championships which was played between Ken Kitt and Dietmar Sajowitz playing Glenn Hepburn and John McQueen.
The game was very social with Glenn and John taking the win, 34-13.
This Saturday, May 13 at 10am the final of the pairs will be played. Glenn Hepburn and John McQueen are to play Don Stephens and Allan Conley (sub Richard Gear).
The next championships to play will be the fours and triples. These games can be played by arrangement between teams.
Now the cooler weather is here social bowls starts at 11am on Saturday mornings.
Casual clothes - as no uniform is required through winter unless it is championships. Everyone welcome.
This Saturday night’s raffle duty person is John McQueen.

INDOOR BOWLS
ON May 2 Kevin Whalan was on a roll winning the singles competition with 7 points and also scoring two resters.
There were two runnerup players in Kathryn Maloney and Lynette Maloney with 6 points each. All players were bowling well with very close score ends on the night.
Kevin won the indoor bowls raffle.
See you all next Tuesday. Names in between 6.50pm and 7pm at the Oberon RSL Club auditorium to start play at 7pm.
