THURSDAY’S golf was back on numbers this week, however this was no deterrent to Bob Slattery, who had a good round and left the rest of the field in his dust. Balls went to Bill Wilcox and John McKinnon.

There was a strong field of golfers on Saturday and some very good golf was played.
Harold Lyme had one of the best days of his long career, winning B grade with the wonderful score of 44 points. The runner-up was Jake Schumacher with 35.
Harold's playing partner Hugh O'Neil was the A grade winner with a handy round of 37 points and Eric Whalan was runner-up with 36 points.
Nearest the pin on the first was Kim Rawlings, Laurie Murphy won the ninth and John Crichton the 17th. Balls went to Dane Armstrong, Rob Hayden, Brian Roberts, Roger Arrow, Tim Crichton and Hamish Anderson. Golfers played for the Diggers Cup on Anzac Day and on Saturday members will play an 18-hole stableford event.
At this stage the club is still without a greenkeeper, so if anyone has a little time, there are plenty of jobs that need doing. See Mick English for directions on jobs.
The final round of the super six golf challenge was played after 10 rounds. It came down to one point difference. The winning team was Hamish Anderson, Alby Davis, Jason Foley, Jason Finnity and Kylie Provest. The runners-up were Robert McGrath, Gareth Samuel, Darryl Gibson, Glynn Samuel and Eric Whalan.
