LADY golfers played a stableford last week in pleasant weather with the competition to take the winner’s place extremely close.

Katie Graham, after a long absence, took the Division 1 first place with 32 points on a countback from Robyn Slattery, on a countback from Stella McGrath, on a countback from Glennie McGrath. Glennie won the nearest the pin.

In Division 2, the scores were also very close. Lyn Prowse won with 32 points, Bev Dale came second with 31 points and Vonda Voytilla came third with 30 points. Nearest the pin was Helen Toohill.

Friday will be the second round of the Club Championships with the first 36 holes trophy kindly sponsored by Katie Graham.

Next Monday and Wednesday will be rounds three and four of the Club Championships. The second 36 hole trophy will be donated by the club and the 72 hole trophy is kindly sponsored by Kath Cunynghame.

The ladies will also be playing for the Mabel Mackenzie Brooch on Wednesday.
