GREEN SLIP WIN
LAST week the Parliament successfully passed the Motor Accident Injuries Bill (2017), which will make compulsory third-party (CTP) green slips cheaper for motorists in the Bathurst electorate, saving around $50 on the average green slip.
Green slip prices have increased over the past decade, with the average motorist in the Bathurst electorate now paying $480.
The new scheme will deliver motorists a fairer and more affordable scheme, while ensuring injured road users receive adequate support.
The new scheme is expected to come into effect in December 2017.
