Established in 2009 to provide a neutral space where all Oberon blokes could gather regularly to enjoy friendship and participate in some simple activities, Oberon Men’s Shed has always focused on the health of men in general.
While a health agenda is never overtly pushed, assistance and referrals are always available if requested.
The Shed is a great place for a cuppa and a chat, perhaps some gentle work of a mechanical kind or work with wood.
We have a small workshop catering to the supply of bicycles for sale.
We would like to see more blokes who have experience in bicycle repairs or blokes who might like to learn a bit about bikes.
At the same time we are fortunate to have a member in the woodshop who is able to teach anyone the ins and outs of working with wood.
The Shed has a very small garden and there is a possibility of establishing a small vegie garden to complement the flowers and shrubs.
The Shed has a very good range of bicycles for sale at more than reasonable prices and members are slowly putting together woodcraft items.
The Shed is now open every Tuesday from about 10am until around 2.30pm and has a stall at the new markets in the showground on the first Saturday each month.
Why not call in and see whether the Shed suits you?
A cuppa is always on the go and there are always friendly faces to show you around.
Find us in the Oberon Showground. Enter from Ross Street and we are on the right just past the sheep pavilion.
