Danny Eiler-Carr, who visited the touring Spirit of Anzac Centenary Experience with his family, was told he was the 300,000th visitor to the exhibition.
Danny said the experience increased his understanding of the First World War and said it was scary to think that boys his age were fighting a war and had put their lives on the line more than 100 years ago.
James Eiler said his favourite objects at the exhibition were the guns and huge cannon.
His brother Brandon Eiler said one thing that stood out about the exhibition was “how sad the soldier with shellshock was”.
The executive manager of the experience, Major General (Ret) Brian Dawson, said the fact that 300,000 people across Australia had visited this exhibition was testament to its popularity among young and old alike.
He said it was an immersive experience for those who visited.
