No doubt the big news around town revolves around that big fella dressed in a red and white suit. I was fortunate enough to sit down and have a yarn with Santa on Friday and Sunday while he was appearing at Mawhoods Supa IGA store.

Seems it all didn't go to plan: Santa wanted the mothers to sit on his lap so the children could gain valuable experience in photography.
Anyhow, we did manage to find out just what a lot of local identities want Santa to bring them for Christmas.
Young Kim Rawlings wants a new golf driving wood that doesn't hook or slice, while young Doug Curry wants a box of remote-controlled golf balls.
Young Ian Cunynghame hopes that Santa might be able to complete his stone wall as he has been too busy baking his world famous scones over the past year.
One request will be a bit of a challenge - apparently young Ray Hadley wants to have a barbecue lunch on Christmas Day at young Gary Rush's home in Bat-Hurst. Rumour has it that Parramatta have a better chance of winning the 2017 NRL competition than that lunch going ahead.
And now for something different. Young Peter Stiff recruited young Ben Bright and young Bob Lawson to install a "floating floor" in the back of his horse float last weekend. Young Ben and Bob turned up Sunday morning, but were surprised to see that young Peter had the two packs of floorboards in a plastic swimming pool full of water in his backyard. Young Bob asked young Peter what was going on and young Peter replied: "I wanted to make sure they float before we put them on the floor."
Anyhow, merry Christmas to readers and hope you have a good 2017.
