THE final round of the Club Championships was held last Monday in beautiful playing conditions, after Friday’s third round was cancelled due to rain.

The winners were Robyn Slattery in A grade, Joan Graham in B grade and Irene Bishop in C grade. Robyn led the field in A grade throughout the competition, finishing with 264 off the stick. Robyn Stapleton was second with 281 and Glennie McGrath was third with 282.
In B grade, Joan Graham had plenty of competition from Maree Arrow, who started off in the lead, but Joan prevailed to come in with 297 to Maree’s 302.
In C grade, Irene Bishop took the lead in the final two rounds to win with 329 off the stick. Helen Toohill was second with 333.
Joan Graham, Glennie McGrath and Robyn Slattery all came in with 222 in the 54 holes nett comp of the championships. Joan won on a countback from Robyn on a countback from Glennie!
The final round was played in conjunction with a stroke and putting competition. Joan Graham won Division 1 on a countback from Robyn Slattery and third was Wilma Artery, who also won the putting competition in Division 1 with 30 putts.
In Division 2, Vonda Voytilla won with 72 nett, closely followed in second place by Kathy Mooney with 75. Helen Toohill was third with 78 nett. Vonda also won the putting with 28 putts.
