Asked about what he thought about the Orange by-election and the Nationals’ loss of the seat, Mr Gee said the two central issues of the by-election were a backlash against council amalgamations and the ban on greyhound racing.
Marj Armstrong, from Oberon's Anti Amalgamation Committee, told Mr Gee she wanted to thank him and appreciated him coming to Oberon to meet with the community.
"It's good to see a representative come to Oberon to tell us their plans and to answer our questions," she said.
