Family members and friends watched proudly as the class of 2016 were presented to those attending.
While it was a night of celebration, a few tears were shed as it signified the end of an important era in their lives.
Year adviser Sandra Mackay-Galea and principal Ken Barwick were among those who congratulated them and wished them well in their futures.
The Graduation Ball was held at the Oberon RSL Club.
Mrs Mackay-Galea, Mrs Pringle and Mrs Hayden have all been working on preparations for the big night which will celebrate the end of 13 years of formal schooling for these fantastic students.
Great night of mixed emotions
IT was with mixed emotions for Year 12 at their graduation that they looked back and reflected on school, the friendships they have made and how much work they have done.
At Oberon High School we have a very clear idea of the type of student we hope to graduate from school and move into the world.
There is nothing accidental about the skills and attributes our students leave school with after graduation.
Our school has very deliberately tried to create young adults who will not only thrive in an exciting and ever changing world, but who will be able to make a significant and positive contribution to that world.
All the best and thank you
I WOULD like to wish all our students the very best in the future as they shoot for the stars and ask that they take care of each other at this special time in their lives.
I would like to again acknowledge Mrs Cheryl Fitzpatrick who has committed herself to supporting the HSC student’s offsite at St Joseph’s School during their examinations.
Ivan Christian was the official photographer on the night.
