SOME lovely spring weather, plenty of green grass and a few territorial magpies are all part of a round of golf. A good number of golfers enjoyed the outing in the sunshine on Thursday afternoon. Barry Stubbs was up the middle as usual to record a good win. Balls went to Richard Gear, Brian Balaam, Don Miller and Sean Mooney.

The runner-up was Tim Crichton with 35 points. Sean and Kath Mooney were the mixed fourball winners with a good round of 43 points. The men's fourball was won by Rob McGrath and Richard Gear with a good score of 44 points. The runners-up were Laurie Murphy and Barry Lang with 41 points.
Nearest the pin on the first was John McKinnon, Neil Whalan was on the green on the seventh, Kim Rawlings took the ninth and Rob McGrath was on the money on the 17th.

A group of eight Oberon golfers travelled to Henbury Golf Course on Sunday to play in their open day.
Golf next Saturday will be an 18-hole stroke. Members will be playing for the monthly medal and a putting competition. We didn't play the medal round the first Saturday in October due to the very poor weather.
Kyall Ryan will be a member of a team representing the Blue Mountains District at the NSW Country Championships to be held at Goulburn at the weekend.
The golf club will host the Oberon Council local government golf day on November 18. If you are interested in having a team for the day, there are entry forms in the clubhouse.
