It was a transformative time and Oberon will host a concert starring one of the most iconic faces and sounds from that decade.
It’s a great honour for Friends of Oberon Library to have an opportunity to welcome Keith Potger on Friday, November 25 for an evening concert.
The evening will begin at 7pm for 7.30pm at the Robert Hooper Community Centre.
Keith was the founding member of world famous band The Seekers, whose songs are known and loved today around the world.
His musical career started well before The Seekers first stormed the UK charts in 1965. He is a self-taught musician, playing the banjo, six and 12 string guitars and keyboards. He performed in vocal groups which evolved into The Seekers in 1962.
His show, Melodies and Memories, promises an entertaining evening including amusing anecdotes from Keith’s 50 years on the music scene. Come and enjoy the vibe.
Tickets are available at Cobweb Craft Shop, Oberon Library or Lyndle, 0457 130 990. Cost is $25 per person (includes cheese and wine).
