There were 80 competitors at the competition.
Barker said that it looks like squash may be a dying sport so it was great to see so many people, young and old competing.
"There is talk of holding a tournament in Oberon next year, which would be great for our local club," he said.
"While I didn't come away with the result I was after, it was still a great weekend while meeting some very impressive statewide players.
"I would like to say a massive thank you to my family, my partner and friends for supporting and encouraging me.
“Thanks to my sponsors Jenolan Caravan Park, Barkers Butchery, Oberon RSL and Oberon Squash Club.
"Without this support I wouldn't have had the chance to be a part of and experience such a fantastic weekend."
Barker said he hoped do do better at the next competition.
"Dapto Squash Centre hosted a great event."
