Ms Cameron comes to the role of principal at the childcare centre following the retirement of beloved Miss Bev after 28 years in the position.
With 16 years experience in the industry and being the mother of a little girl herself, Ms Cameron knows exactly what parents need when it comes to childcare.
She is determined to continue to provide the quality early education Oberon Children’s Centre is known for.
“We’ve just got a Smartboard, so we will start our early learning with technology,” she said.
Ms Cameron has been working at the centre for the past month and said the families have helped to make the transition easy.
“All the families have been really welcoming and engaged,” she said. “I got a hug and flowers [from the kids] on my first day, which is unusual for a first day.”
Ms Cameron and her family are looking forward to getting to know the Oberon community.
