Mr Foley was recognised for his efforts to go above and beyond and for his dedication to members of the Oberon community.
Members from Oberon and district attended the luncheon at the Oberon RSL Club, as did mayor Kathy Sajowitz.
Incoming president Charmayne Hogan was congratulated by outgoing president Melita Braun and Oberon Inner Wheel inducted three new members: Karen McQueen, Elaine Hepburn and Kerry Foley.
”The luncheon was enjoyed by all and a big thank you to Melita Braun and Lynne Kershaw for organising this special day,” a spokesperson said.
The Oberon Inner Wheel fundraisers for 2015/16 were a high tea in February, an evening cooking dinner for visiting fishermen from Sydney and Coin for a Cord.
All profits from these functions were donated to various charities, including Oberon Can Assist, the spokesperson said.
