AN alpine warning has been issued for the Great Western Highway between Mount Lambie and Yetholme east of Bathurst.
Motorists are urged to drive to the conditions.

TRAFFIC on the Mitchell Highway between Bathurst and Orange remains affected by snowfalls on Friday afternoon.
RTA Life Traffic’s website advises motorists to exercise caution if travelling through the area.

SNOW fell for a short time in the Bathurst central business district on Friday afternoon.

MOTORISTS have been warned to take extra care on the Mitchell Highway between Bathurst and Orange following the first reports of light snow in the area.
The RTA Live Traffic website advises that there has been snow reported around Guyong, with traffic affected in both areas.
The Bureau of Meteorology has forecast snowfall in the higher areas around Bathurst in the coming hours.
Snow is predicted above 700 metres on Friday afternoon and Saturday morning, with areas around Oberon and Yetholme most likely to be impacted.
Heavy snow is already falling in Orange.
