Sellers took the title in a split points decision during the successful ‘Battle at the Bron’ tournament.
The rematch came after the two fighters contested an extremely close bout at the Dudley Hotel in Bathurst in April.
Promoter Nathan Swadling said loud cheers almost lifted the roof off the RSL auditorium when local fighters entered the ring and the tournament was a successful family event.
“Trent Guihot and Mikey Gudgeon unfortunately lost their bouts but Luke Kirby won his fight with a unanimous points decision,” he said.
“Adam Powell’s opponent was not passed to fight so former local, Mitch Stevens stepped in for an exhibition bout.
“Oberon RSL Club sold more tickets in pre-sale than any other event in the past and they smashed their sales records.”
Swadling said the event was a great success and he congratulated Sellers on his title win.
