A GREAT roll up of 20 ladies played in the second qualification round of the Arrow’s Newsagency Eliminator last week.
Conditions were challenging, given the amount of grass that has grown since the rain.
Lyn Prowse was the winner in Division 1 with an excellent 39 points, second was Glennie McGrath with 36 points and third was Joan Sullivan on a count back from Wilma. Nearest the pin was Stella McGrath.
Colleen Saul was the winner in Division 2 with 34 points on a count back from Vonda Voytilla. Barbara Coleman took third place on a count back from Helen Toohill.
There was no nearest the pin in Division 2.
Next week, ladies will play a versus par event, in conjunction with the second round of the Arrow’s Newsagency Eliminator.
The trophy will be donated by Stella McGrath.
After golf, Robyn Slattery was presented with a special hat pin for her hole-in-one achieved at Blackheath at the end of last year.
The ladies decided that she should receive something lasting for such a rare feat.
