GOOD weather made for some great scores on the greens last week.
Thursday afternoon golfers were out in strength and players had to score well to win.
Brian Balaam was too good for the rest of the field and his 29 points earned him the win. A different handicap awaits Brian next week.
On Saturday, there was a strong field playing for the monthly medal and medal of medals for 2015.
Back from on course was Billy Gascoigne who had a good round to win A grade with 83/69. He was also the A grade winner, monthly medal winner and medal of medal winner.
Mr Gascoigne also scored nearest the pin on the 1st and the 9th.
The runner up in A grade was Doug Curry 84/70.
While Bill Edwards had a great round to easily win B grade with his best round for some months.
He scored 88/65 to win the monthly medal and medal of medals for B grade.
Mr Edwards was also the winner of the scratch ball in B grade.
While Kyall Ryan was the winner of the scratch ball in a grade with a good round of 77. Luke Christie-Johnston was the runner up in B grade with 91/66.
With 27 putts Mr Gascoigne won the A grade putting, while Mr Edwards won the B grade putting with 27 putts.
Nearest the pin on the 7th went to Dick O’Donnell and Doug Curry won the 17th.
Balls went to Dick O’Donnell, Terry Robinson, Mick English and Scott Rowlandson.
On Sunday, the pennants team travelled to Lithgow to play a strong Springwood team. And, after some well contested matches Springwood was too strong on the day.
Mr Ryan had a good day and won his match.
Next week the pennants team will play Blackheath in Springwood.
First round of the two week 4BBB par championships starts next week. two weeks. Teams will be playing for the Jack Robinson Memorial Trophy.
