From all reports the students are thoroughly enjoying their first week at school and are looking forward to the year ahead.
And no one was more excited at Oberon Public School than the 35 children beginning their first days in kindergarten.
Dressed up to the nines and no tears, the students are settling in with their teachers Miss Conway and Mrs Shepherd who are ably assisted by Mrs Elwin and Mrs Pointon.
Over at Black Springs Public School, they have welcomed three new kindy students for 2016.
Kaiden Stapleton, Kayden Scorgie and Patrick Gilmore started school last Monday donned in their new school uniform.
