On Monday the Oberon Golf Club hosted the Central Western Veterans when 91 golfers, including seven women, got ready for a hit.
The Oberon ladies did a marvellous job catering for the large field.
On Thursday a strong field played the usual 12 hole competition.
Any one who has an interest in taking up golf should try the Thursday comp. It is an easy way to get into the game.
Kim Rawlings has hit some good form lately and won the afternoon. Balls went to Bill Wilcox and Graham Hotham.
Saturday was a bit overcast in the morning but it didn’t deter the golfers.

The Blue Mountains Championships was to be played at Blackheath on Sunday, but the event was postponed until December 13.
Because of the rain and storms the Blackheath course was unplayable.
Next Sunday, Blackheath will have their open day, interested players should ring and book a spot on their starting sheet.
Our green keeper David is not well and is on sick leave, so volunteers to do some work on the course would be welcomed.
It you can do just a few hours please talk to Mick English for some direction.
