Organiser Kristy Hughes said it was a fitting time to have a reunion as the high school will close at the end of this year.
“We started with a tour of the secondary department and finished up in our original kindy room,” she said. “Some things had changed a lot, but the kindy room still had the same little chairs we sat on in 1995.
“The teachers in particular were really touched to be asked to attend. It was a no brainer for us, as we were always lucky to have wonderful teachers at St Joseph’s.”
Kristy said the teachers took a keen interest in their former students’ lives and careers.
“We had apologies from Steve Todd, Sister Margaret Flood, Fr Garry Mckeon and Narelle Cross who were unable to attend,” she said.
“We also reflected on the absence of one of our most loved teachers, Col Withers, who sadly passed away not long after we left the school.
“We all shared some of our favourite memories and consider ourselves lucky to have had such wonderful role models during our time at the school.”
Dinner and drinks followed the memorable reunion.
