■ Oberon Hospital Auxiliary has a revised date of tomorrow for its annual general meeting due to last Friday’s extreme weather. The meeting will commence at noon in the Robey Centre to be followed by a light luncheon.
■ Oberon Can Assist’s next meeting will be on August 13 at Oberon RSL Club at 7pm. A new committee will be appointed at this general meeting. All residents of Oberon and surrounds most welcome. Max Sward president.
■ Come to the Robey Centre at Oberon Multipurpose Service in North Street on Mondays and Thursdays from 11am to 2pm. Meet new people, take part in light exercises, craft, quizzes and bingo with lots of laughs. We can pick you up and take you home. Cost is $2 and $5 for lunch, tea and coffee as well as morning tea. ■ Oberon and District Museum is open on weekends from 10.30am to 5pm or by appointment. Enter via Scotia Avenue. Enquiries 6336 1016.
■ Centrelink/Medicare agency the Neighbourhood Centre at 12 Ross Street is available for all Centrelink, Medicare or any Department of Human Service’s needs, call in Wednesday to Friday from 9am until 1pm. There is a self-service terminal to lodge or enquire on benefits payable and a scanner/fax for documents which need to be sent. Please make use of this free service and save a trip to Bathurst. ■ Oberon Roller Derby training is held on Monday from 6-9pm at Oberon High School.
■ The Oberon Uniting Church would like to invite any members of the community to an informal get together for morning tea at 10.30am, activities followed by lunch at the Uniting Church Hall on the fourth Monday of each month. Cost $10 which covers morning tea, activities and lunch.
