Crown roads, sometimes known as paper roads, are roads which have never been dedicated, and are therefore not controlled or maintained by council.
In most cases there is no physical carriageway or, if there is, it is used only by the adjoining landowner as an internal track.
It is usually the adjoining landowner who applies for any such closures.
The location of the proposed closure has been checked.
Council has no interest in this Crown road and will not be affected by its closure.
If any nearby landowners believe they will be adversely affected, they have the opportunity to object directly to Crown Lands.
