■ Adult Survivors of Child Abuse – Cowra Local Support Group will meet tomorrow at 12.30pm. Open to all survivors of child abuse. If interested contact Pascale on 6342 1612.
■ Oberon Hospital Auxiliary invite new members to our annual general meeting on Friday, July 17 at noon, lunch is before meeting. New members are welcome to join us in the Robey Centre. Last Friday a fun time was had for our bingo afternoon with visitors from Bathurst. We hope to do it again in August – watch this space.
■ Bathurst District Prostate Cancer Support Group’s next meeting is Tuesday, July 21 in the historic hospital building. Guest speaker is Stephen McKelvie from Rail Holidays Australia, Tours and Holidays within Australia. Come along at 4pm for tea and nibbles, then a short business meeting at 4.45pm. Guest speakers from 5pm, men and women welcome – why not come early for a chat and meet some new people.
■ Come to the Robey Centre at Oberon Multipurpose Service in North Street on Mondays and Thursdays from 11am to 2pm. Meet new people and take part in light exercises, craft, quizzes and bingo with lots of laughs. We can pick you up and take you home. Cost is $2, or $5 for lunch, tea and coffee as well as morning tea. Contact Annette Roels on 6336 7200.
■ Oberon and District Museum is open every Saturday and Sunday from 10.30am until 5pm, or by appointment. Enter via Scotia Avenue. For more information call 6336 1016.
■ Centrelink/Medicare agency is available for all Centrelink, Medicare or any Department of Human Service needs. Open 9am-1pm from Wednesday to Friday at 12 Ross Street. There is also self-service terminal for you to lodge or enquire on benefits payable. A free scanner/fax is available for documents that need to be sent. Contact Sue Fisher-Smith on 6336 0909.
■ Oberon Roller Derby train each Monday night from 6-9pm at Oberon High School.
■ The Oberon Uniting Church invite members of the community to an informal get together for morning tea at 10.30am, followed by activities and lunch at the Uniting Church Hall on the fourth Monday of each month. Cost is $10 which covers morning tea, activities and lunch.
■ Knit With Love is on first Friday of every month from 10am-12.30pm in the Community Centre. All welcome.
