A NEW Oberon Show society committee was announced recently following the group’s annual general meeting (AGM) on May 20.

The new president is Nick Wills, while vice president is Ann Gilbert, secretary – Tiffany Green, treasurer – Glen Stewart, assistant treasurer – John Brotchie, publicity officer – Marie Mills, memberships – John Brotchie, while showgirl co-ordinators are Glenys Newstead and Cheryl Burt.
The three members of executive committee are Janet Artery, Scott Austen and Phil Robinson, while webmaster is Amy Curran.
Members were thanked for their dedication and the new committee was congratulated. There were a number of familiar faces, as well as some new ones, at the AGM, and any interested members of the committee were invited to join up as a member.
There will be a number of new events coming up over the next 12 months, and new members are encouraged to bring along their ‘fresh’ ideas.
Oberon Show Society meetings are held every third Wednesday of the month at 7.30pm at the Oberon RSL. The next meeting is on June 17.
New members can sign up on the night or alternatively contact Wills Tyres on 6336 1612 prior to the meeting.
The show society said they are looking forward to new members joining their ranks. Membership costs are $10 for a single, $15 for member and a guest, $25 for a family (five people) and $5 for a pensioner.
