■ Oberon Hospital Auxiliary are holding another bingo afternoon tomorrow at 1.30pm in the Robey Centre. Entrance with afternoon tea is $5 and 15 games will be played at a cost of $3, 45 tickets $6 and 90 tickets $10. Come and have some fun and maybe win some nice prizes. ■ Come to the Robey Centre at Oberon Multipurpose Service in North Street on Mondays and Thursdays from 11am to 2pm. Meet new people, light exercises, craft, quizzes and bingo with lots of laughs. We can pick you up and take you home. Cost is $2 and $5 for lunch, tea and coffee as well as morning tea. Please contact Annette Roels on 6336 7200 for more information.
■ Saturday, 18 April Around the Piano 1915 Robert Hooper Community Centre Fleming Street Oberon from 2pm. Enjoy an afternoon of music, song and verse from the turn of the century including Edwardian High Tea. Tickets $20pp. Contact Anne Russell 6337 0363.
■ Bathurst District Prostate Cancer Support Group next meeting is Tuesday, April 21 in Daffodil Cottage. Guest Speaker is Gillian Shannon a genetic counsellor, 4pm - tea and nibbles, 4.45pm - short business meeting and 5pm our group’s speakers. Men and women welcome. Come early for a chat.
■ Oberon and District Museum, entry via Scotia Avenue, is open every Saturday and Sunday 10.30am to 5pm, or by appointment. Enquiries 6336 1016.
■ Centrelink/Medicare agency - the Neighbourhood Centre at 12 Ross Street is available for all Centrelink, Medicare or any Department of Human Service’s needs, call in Wednesday - Friday 9am - 1pm and we can assist you in your enquiries. There is a self-service terminal for you to lodge or enquire on benefits payable and a scanner/fax for documents which need to be sent. Please make use of this free service and save a trip to Bathurst. Contact Sue Fisher-Smith on 6336 0909.
■ Oberon Roller Derby (ORD) training is now on Monday night’s from 6pm to 9pm at the Oberon High School.
■ The Oberon Uniting Church would like to invite any members of the community to an informal get together for morning tea at 10.30am, activities followed by lunch at the Uniting Church Hall on the fourth Monday of each month. Cost $10 covers morning tea and lunch.
