Five separate pieces of equipment were installed by Oberon Council. The project was funded via a $15,000 grant from the NSW Sport and Recreation Facilities Program.
Cr Jill Evans said the Oberon Common is used by a lot of walkers and the equipment is to encourage people to get out and get healthy.
“Since the exercise equipment has been installed I have seen a lot of people using it. It’s great to exercise while still out in the fresh air,” Cr Evans said.
“The equipment has been installed on a soft fall material and all pieces target different body parts – from cardio vascular through to body building.”
Cr Evans said the Oberon Common is looking fantastic and this just adds to the facilities already available to the public.
