■ The BreastScreen Mobile Van is visiting Oberon from February 18 to early March 2015. The van will be located in Tally’s Lane. Phone 13 20 50 to book your appointment.
■ This Saturday, February 21 at Hampton Public School there is the Hampton Artisan and Farmers Market from 9am to 1pm. Locally-produced art, craft, plants, wine beer and trash and treasure stalls will be available. Barbecue and refreshments available. For more information contact David 6359 3175.
■ Oberon Hospital Auxiliary will be holding a bingo afternoon in the Robey Centre on Friday, February 27 at 1.30pm. Come and have some fun. Entry is $5 and includes afternoon tea and 50 cents per game. All welcome. RSVP to Susanne 6336 1029 or Annabelle 0408 205 009. Members are reminded of our next meeting, which is at 2pm on Friday, February 20 in the Robey Centre. New members most welcome.
■ Save the date for Oberon High School P and C’s March Madness Markets to be held Friday, March 13, from 2.30pm. To book a stall contact the school on 6336 1606 or Gayle on 0419 445 767. There will be a barbecue, raffles, live entertainment and much more.
■ Oberon and District Museum, entry via Scotia Avenue, is open every Saturday and Sunday 10.30am to 5pm, or by appointment. Enquiries 6336 1016.
■ Centrelink/Medicare agency – the Neighbourhood Centre at 12 Ross Street is available for all Centrelink, Medicare or any Department of Human Service’s needs. Call in Wednesday to Friday, 9am - 1pm, and we can assist you in your enquiries. There is a self-service terminal for you to lodge or enquire on benefits payable and a scanner/fax for documents which need to be sent. Please make use of this free service and save a trip to Bathurst. Contact Sue Fisher-Smith on 6336 0909 for additional information.
■ Oberon Roller Derby (ORD) training is now on Monday nights from 6pm to 9pm at the Oberon High School.
■ The Oberon Uniting Church would like to invite any members of the community to an informal get together for morning tea at 10.30am, activities followed by lunch at the Uniting Church Hall on the fourth Monday of each month. Cost is $10, which covers morning tea, activities and lunch.
■ Knit With Love will be held on the first Friday of every month from 10am-12.30pm in the Community Centre. All welcome.
■ Carers NSW is the state-wide peak organisation for carers, with an exclusive focus on supporting and advocating for all carers in NSW.
