The day begins with the everpopular main street parade of historic and interesting vehicles and machinery.
The Grand Parade, sponsored by Oberon Council, starts at 10am and will include official street closures for the duration of the parade.
Oberon Heritage & Collectors Club, hosts of the Highlands Steam & Vintage Fair, will have a free bus commuting between key points.
As well as the usual stops – RSL sub-branch museum, Oberon Railway Station, the Fair venue at Oberon Rugby League ground and Oberon Museum – a new stop on the minibus route for 2015 will include Barry Hughes’s shed in Endeavour Street.
Barry’s historic collection of tractors and implements has been an essential part of the static display of machinery at the Fair.
However, Barry’s penchant and talent for faultless restoration of his ever-expanding collection has reached new heights with the addition of a fully restored International TD14 bulldozer.
Indeed, this machine probably looks better than the day it was driven out of the showroom.
Barry has generously opened his shed, housing this great collection of plant and machinery, to the public.
Located in Endeavour Street, just off Albion Street, it will be clearly signposted, so pop in and have a chat, a cup of tea or coffee, and be amazed.
