Our early golfers on Saturday were the only ones who managed to play 18 holes.
The larger part of the field of golfers spent most of their afternoon on the 19th hole.
Fifty millimetres of rain was just too much for the course and players to handle.
Winner of A grade was one of the early birds. Robert Hayden enjoyed the challenge of a tough course set-up and had good score of 77/69. One of his playing partners Scott Rowlandson was the runner-up with 84/73.
Robert was the scratch winner and A grade monthly medal winner.
B grade was won by Billy Gascoigne with 98/74. Billy won the B grade monthly medal.
Kevin McGrath was the runner-up and won the B grade scratch ball.
Nearest the pin on the first went to Billy Gascoigne with 3.5 metres, Robert was on the money for the seventh at 2.3 metres. Alby Davis was right on target on the ninth and was only 1.5 metres from the pin.
No one got a measure on the 17th. Balls went to Brian Roberts.
Golf on Thursday was won by Terry Grear. Balls went to Brian Balaam and Kim Rawlings.
The draw for the summer match play has been completed.
First round matches need to be played before the end of the month.
It would be good if you get organised and play the match on Saturday, although matches can be played at any time. It doesn’t have to be a competition game.
On Saturday, December 20 we will be playing the annual Christmas Ambrose sponsored by the Big Trout Motor Inn.
Organize your teams in advance and every team should be able to include at least one non-regular golfer.
