Mr Bradley said his aim of his presentation to council was to simplify things and give councillors an appreciation of the figures.
Mr Bradley said overall, council is in surplus and operating in the black – which cannot be said for a lot of rural councils.
Mr Bradley said the sale of land assets of $351,000 and waste management revenue of $666,000 were the big winners for council.
“These are one-off revenue raisers and it really impacted on the results,” he said.
“Council’s cash flow surplus of $1,185,000 available to council is increasing and unrestricted reserves are looking good.”
But Mr Bradley said no councils have enough in their reserves fund.
“Generally, Oberon Council has no problem meeting commitments and only has a total debt of $75,000, which is nothing,” he said.
Copies of the audited financial statements and the auditor’s reports may be inspected at www.oberon.nsw.gov.au or hard copies can be viewed at Oberon Council or Oberon Council Library.
Submissions regarding the reports close on Thursday, November 27.
