Giamia achieved a second in kata, third in weapons, fourth in point sparring, second in koshiki, first in jujitsu, fourth in sword combat, first in Sumo, first in team sparring and first in mixed martial arts (cage fighting).
Last Saturday, Giamia competed in the Pollets National Tournament which was held in Bathurst.
After an outstanding performance Giamia, who competes in the 16 to 17 years black belt division, collected eight trophies on the day.
There were 160 competitors and Giamia came second on the day, only to be beaten by fellow Bathurst Pollets student Jess Douveiht, who competes in the senior division.
Tomorrow Giamia, along with her mother Antoniette, will fly to Brazil for two weeks to compete in the World Championships.
Giamia said she is looking forward to the challenges facing her at the championships.
“It’s an experience I’ve been looking forward to for a long time, I’m very excited.”
