At only 10 years old, Tyler is looking forward to a challenging year as she has moved up to the under 13s competition.
Tyler entered her first under 13s competition at Dunc Gray Velodrome on Saturday where she battled nerves after a crash there two weeks ago on the velodrome boards.
Tyler warmed up with a sixth place finish in an elimination race with a full field of 14 riders, junior boys and girls combined, on the 42-degree bank of the circuit.
Tyler picked up a third place in the time trial and a comfortable third place in the derby.
After gaining her confidence and riding at her best in the final event of the day, Tyler came through with a convincing win in the main event for the juniors, the SCODY Cup Wheel Race.
For her first competition on the velodrome, Tyler rode extremely well and deserved the results she achieved.
This Saturday Tyler is competing in the 33rd Clarence Street Cup at the Dunc Gray Velodrome, Bass Hill.
This is a huge event on Cycling NSW’s calendar, and she is looking forward to gaining more experience on the velodrome at this meeting.
