Essential Energy crews have restored power to all but 32 homes in Oberon and the surrounding areas.
The remaining customers without power are expected to be restored by 7pm on Wednesday.
In a statement released on Wednesday afternoon Essential Energy thanked the community for its patience as crews work to ensure the safe restoration of the power supply.

Essential Energy crews are continuing work to restore power to about 400 customers in Oberon, Hazelgrove and surrounding areas after heavy snow falls brought down trees and power lines overnight.
Crews from Bathurst and Blayney have been brought in to assist the Oberon team to make repairs quickly and safely, Essential Energy said in a statement.
Gail Watson, who lives in the Shooters Hill area, said power at her house went off late on Tuesday night.
"We rang the neighbors to check it wasn't only us, and they said it went off about 10.30pm," she said.
While Gail has wood heating at home, there was no hot water this morning.
"I had to whip into town for my shower," she said.
"My husband rang about an hour ago and the power is still not on."
She said the snow was bucketing down last night and had caused a lot of damage to trees in the area.
"It was a good one for October, it looked very impressive. The way it was falling you thought, wow, there will be a lot of snow on the road. But the roads were clear when I came in at 8am."
Luckily, the power at Gail's business, Country Bell, was still on this morning.
"We have electricity in town. Thank God," she said.
"I am in my little shop, hopefully, we will get lots of cold people in."
Gail is also hoping that Essential Energy get the power lines repaired on Wednesday afternoon.
"The most important thing is that I go home to a cooked dinner."
