Proxy forms for the merger of OPTA and Oberon Business Association (OBA) have been sent out and now members are being urged to return their proxy if they don’t intend being present for the vote at OPTA’s October meeting.
“We need 75 per cent of members’ votes in favour of the merger with OBA for the proposal to go ahead,” OPTA president Tim Charge told the Review.
“The union of Oberon’s two peak promotion organisations is an obvious progression if we are to see a united, strong approach towards the business of bringing people to our town and district.”
Members are being urged to post their proxy vote this week.
Alternatively, they can deliver their proxy to Ray White Real Estate or Jenolan Caravan Park offices in Oberon.
