Categories have been finalised and the association is excited about once again recognising the diversity of businesses and individuals in the community.
This year there will be seven in the business section and three in the employee section. There is also an award for outstanding volunteer, group or person.
President of OBA Andrew Bird said the awards are getting bigger every year, and are a way of showcasing the variety of businesses in town.
“The categories are rather diverse, for example in the Excellence in Professional Services, this does not only cater for accountants, solicitors etc, it can also include photographers, web designers, medical services, architects – whatever service you feel is worthy of nominating.
“In the Rural Support Services, this can include real estate agencies, farm contractors, rural supply stores and earthmoving and dam construction services, to name a few.
The Oberon Review will publish OBA nomination forms or they can be collected at any OBA participating business. Nomination forms can be dropped at Arrows Newsagency, Oberon Post Office, Oberon Pharmacy or posted to Oberon Business Association, PO Box 6, Oberon. Entries must be in by Tuesday, October 7.
Members of the OBA and Oberon Plateau Tourist Association, as well as members of the community, will vote for the winners.
