AFTER only four years of attending martial art classes Giamia Radice has achieved her 100th first place national title and trophy after competing at the Winter Nationals in Windsor recently.

Giamia competes in the 16 to 17 years Black Belt division.
Her next major tournament will be the World Cup titles in October in Sydney.
During competition she will compete in kata, weapons, point sparring, koshiki, jujitsu, sword combat, sumo, synchronised kata and team sparring.
In November, Giamia, along with seven other competitors, will be going to Brazil to represent Australia in the World Championships.
Giamia will be competing in sparring, traditional forms and long and short weapon forms. There will be 23 other countries represented at the championships.
Giamia started learning karate with Craig Gibbons in Oberon but has since moved on to Pollet’s Martial Arts in Bathurst.
Giamia’s mother Antoniette will be heading to the World Championships with her daughter where they will spend three days in Chile and another eight days in Brazil.
Giamia said she is looking forward to the challenges facing her at the championships.
After her return to Australia, Giamia said her aim is to achieve her black belt.
