Snow fell at Jenolan Caves, Black Springs, Shooters Hill, Oberon, Hampton through to the Blue Mountains.
This was the biggest snowfall the district has seen this winter.
Temperatures ranged from a minimum of -2.2 to a maximum of 2.2 degrees, with south west winds reaching 37 kilometres per hour.
Snow and black ice also affected road conditions, at around 7am all major roads in the district were closed with the O’Connell and Duckmaloi Roads reopening at 1pm.
Oberon School buses did not run and local schools were still opened with skeleton staff only.
Black Springs School was closed, Oberon Public School had 30 students, Oberon High School 12 students and St Joseph’s School had three students.
The Oberon Visitor Information Centre received a total of 198 phone and through the door enquiries on Friday, Saturday and Sunday in regards to snow locations and road closures.
Visitors to the area were still sighted on road edges on Saturday and Sunday with their children playing in the snow.
