■ On Tuesday police were patrolling at Rockley at 10.30am when they noticed a vehicle pull off the roadway quickly. They investigated and found the 33-year-old driver, a resident of Rockley, was driving while unlicensed in an unregistered and uninsured motor vehicle. The man was advised he would be receiving appropriate paperwork to attend Oberon Local Court in the near future.

■ On Tuesday a 55-year-old man from Oberon was arrested by officers from the Child Abuse Squad and taken to Oberon Police Station and charged with related offences. The man was refused bail.
■ At about 2am last Sunday police were called to accommodation above a licensed premises in Oberon in relation to a man who was suffering a serious head injury. Police arrived and found the victim with facial injuries and an almost entirely severed left ear. Paramedics were also in attendance and treated the victim before transporting him to Bathurst Base Hospital where he underwent surgery to re-attach his ear. An investigation is underway.
■ Overnight last Friday offender/s tried to steal a motor vehicle parked at a home on Curtis Street, Oberon. The thieves gained access to the vehicle, forcing the ignition, however, they were unable to start it and left.
■ At 11.40pm last Friday police were called to a brawl outside a licensed premises in Oberon. Several people were spoken to and details obtained. Investigations are continuing.
■ Last Thursday it was discovered thieves had stolen approximately 20 chickens and an automatic watering system from a property at Jaunter.
■ Overnight on Saturday, June 28 offender/s stole a mountain bike from the verandah of a property in Tasman Street, Oberon.
■ Between Saturday June 28 and Tuesday July 1 offender/s entered the grounds of Oberon Public School and removed flyscreens from several windows. They then tried to open the windows, without success. Forensics attended and examined the windows.
■ On Saturday June 28 a 25-year-old Oberon man lost control of his vehicle on Oberon Mount. The vehicle collided with a tree before going down an embankment. The vehicle was a write-off.
■ At 6.10pm on Friday June 27 a vehicle driven by a 77-year-old Oberon man collided with another vehicle but did not stop. The driver of the other vehicle followed the man until he pulled over. He then supplied a false name before leaving the scene. Police attended the offending driver’s home address that evening where his details were obtained and he was advised action would be taken for both the collision and supplying false details.
