The stud exhibited champion ram, champion ewe and reserve champion ewe, as well as the Peter Taylor Group and the Sires Progeny Group.
The reserve champion ram was exhibited by a daughter stud and was the progeny of a ram and ewe purchased from the Gilmore family.
The champion ewe, Baringa ‘Princess Kate’, was judged supreme champion prime lamb dam of the show. ‘Princess Kate’ is an embryo transfer sister to ‘Torpedo’, champion ram at Sydney Royal 2013 and top price Adelaide Elite Sale at $10,500.
The supreme award capped off a great showing for the Baringa Stud.
Ian and Donna, along with sons Brayden and Lochie, made the decision to change the prefix of the Tattykeel White Suffolk, Border Leicester and Suffolk Studs to Baringa (their property name) bringing all their studs into line with the Baringa Australian White and Kelpie Studs and allowing all of their advertising to come under the one banner.
