LAST MONDAY the Oberon Health Council elected new office bearers at their annual elections.
The chair is Elaine Boxer, vice chair Tina Slattery and secretary Amanda O’Brien.
The new executive extended very heartfelt thanks to Rosemary Harris, the outgoing chair, for her long-standing contribution to the Health Council in this role.
The role of the Health Council is to facilitate communication between the community and the Health Service regarding healthrelated issues and needs.
Specifically, the Health Council is interested in the health needs, services and health promotion of the local community and how they can assist the community in achieving the best health outcomes.
The Health Council would like to hear from any member of the community who has a request, issue or idea they would like the Health Council to raise at their meetings, which are held once a month at the Oberon Multipurpose Service.
