Giamia, who has competed in many tournaments, most recently took part in the ISKA Western Nationals, where she walked away with first place trophies in kata, weapons, koshiki, point fighting, sumo, and jiu jitsu.
These victories are a major stepping stone to competing in the World Championships in Okinawa, Japan in August and then the ISKA World Cup to be held in Sydney in October.
Giamia trains out of Pollet’s Martial Arts Centre in Bathurst under the expert guidance of 8th Degree Master Hanshi Ian Pollet.
