Three of the four entrants will join the parade.
The Queen of Oberon competition was a fundraising event, with the Queen the person who raised the most money.
The four entrants were Denise Artery (now Denise Brien), Robyn Armstrong (now Robyn O’Donnell), Kay Armstrong (now Kay Fitzpatrick) and Carol Rush (now Carol Townsend). Carol will not be at the parade as she is travelling around Australia.
The competition raised a total of 3904/1/5 pounds. The 1964 Queen of Oberon, Kay Armstrong, was crowned by Lady Woodward, wife of the Governor of NSW Sir Eric Woodward.
Following the official opening at the Oberon Showground by Sir Eric, cars drew up to a dais where the Queen and the other contestants were escorted by two pageboys, Craig Grady and Bryce Fitzpatrick, to be presented to Lady Woodward.
The president of the Oberon Centenary Celebration committee Monty Cotton announced the amounts raised by each contestant and presented each of them with a silver tray as a memento of the occasion.
