OBERON United under 10s ended their season with a win on last Saturday.
There was some outstanding soccer by all players and efforts and teamwork rewarded with a 4-nil victory over Churches United.
The team combined exceptionally well in both defence and attack. Thanks to Chris and Toreia who played a half each in goal.
Teagan and Justin were excellent in the backs, insuring few balls found their way into the Oberon half.
Kaitlyn, Mike and Patrick played well on the wings making some great runs as well as putting some awesome balls through for their fellow players to use to the team’s advantage. Zoey and Zac worked well in the centre, Zac taking a more defensive role and making some great tackles. Zoey played more on the attack side, making some excellent breaks through the centre and providing support for the forwards.
Ebony and Ryan worked exceptionally well together up front, making some breaks and helping out defence whenever required. Congratulations to Chris, Zoey, Ebony and Ryan who each scored a goal and to Patrick and Toriea who received Players’ Player of the Week.
The team should be very proud its efforts, not just for this game but for an excellent season. Special thanks to all parents who came along and supported every week. Congratulations on a great season guys!
Under 12s
THE final match of the round was played at Bathurst against the Panda Bears. The team played extremely well and had a 10-1 victory. Leading pointscorer went to Grant with five goals. Damon kicked in two, with Brady, Sean and Brandon scoring one each. Man of the match went to Grant. See you all at training on Thursday at 4.30pm. Best of luck for the semis next weekend!
The 2010 season has seen some fine play by all players who played in the Under 12s age group. The team of Grant, Jayden, Kurt, Thomas, Sean, Brady, Jake, Kyle, Lochie and Brandon could not have progressed so well into the semis, without the help and support of Zoe and Ryan (under 10s) and Jason, Dean, Damon, and Brodin (Under 11s), who each week backed up to play an extra game for this Oberon team. The Under 12s have tried their best this season and learnt the skill of working as a team, especially when playing against Churches and Bathurst 75s.
A big thank to coach Glen who has encouraged the players to always give of their best.
To the parents who each week support their children - thankyou for the time and effort you give, the team couldn’t do it without you!
Under 15s Wolves

The Under 15s have played strong all season, losing only two games.
This has put the15s in a great position going into the semi-finals in second place - a position they have held all season.
Thanks go to the boys for all their hard work at training, which has helped us to achieve this great result.
The Under 15s can go into the semi-finals knowing that they have worked hard to achieve the strength and confidence they have. Well done boys.
