The Tigers took on Villages United in the first round of the Centennial Coal Cup competition.
With Villages United the new side in the competition this season Tigers did not know what to expect.
In the first half the Tigers’ forwards kept up strong performances, making several breaks. With good passing by the team Jamie O'Neil scored his first try of the season.
The O'Neil boys showed Villages United their talent with Jamie scoring his second try of the game, followed by Shaun O'Neil scoring the next.
Villages United came back making the score 12-10.
In the second half the Tigers were determined to put more points on the board and Luke Hayden crashed over for well-earned try.
Shaun got his hat-trick kicking three out of four conversions. Even though the Tigers won it was still a tough, hard game and all the players came together as a team and played very well.
