Under 7's

OBERON Tigers U7's played their first game of the season on Saturday at a knockout at St Pats.

As well as being the first game of the year for the 13 Oberon players it was the first game of their lives. Well done Nik, Jack, Lachlan, Tyler, Jake, Caine, Jordon, Connor, Phoenix, Max, Jed, Tom and Riley.

The Oberon boys tackled everything that moved and ran the ball like seasoned first graders as they took on Cyms, Blayney and St Pats.

The skills, determination and enthusiasm displayed by these young Tigers leaves no doubt that the future of Oberon first grade is in safe hands. Well done boys.

Under 8’s

THE Oberon Tigers under 8’s played at the St. Pats knockout on Saturday. The boys and girls played Blackheath in the first game with the team taking the prize with tries by Sean Stevens and Caine Barnes. The second game against St. Pats White was hard fought with great tackling by Joshua Coleman, Jayden Stubbings and hard running by Rebecca Stevens and Connor McAllister. The third and final game against St. Pats Blue was an even affair with tries for Caine, Sean and Rebecca, hard running and tackling by Connor and Joshua and a conversion by Jayden. All in all a good fun time was had by all. The under 8’s would like to thank there sponsors and look forward to seeing you all at our first round game in May. Like a Tiger

Under 11’s

ANTHONY Smith Bricklaying and Bakers Butchery u11/s competed at the St Pats Knockout at the weekend. The Tigers impressed with a new-look team consisting of Dean Jones, Pat Lemmich, Caylib Marston, Blake Ryan, Charlie Higgins, Jason Kirkman, Bryce Hotham, Jarrod Oliver, and Jory Case.

It took the boys a couple of games to realise what they could do. In The third game there were some great runs from Charlie and new recruit Caylib at five-eight. The boys showed how good of Football they can play and should have a good year.
